Guorui Zhu is an Associate professor of Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University. She obtained a B.S. degree in Process Equipment and Control Engineering at Tianjin University, and continued her studies to obtain a joint Ph.D. degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Tianjin University and joined Tianjin University shortly after. She then did her postdoctoral work in National Key Laboratory of Tianjin Fire Research Institute of MPS.

Dr. Zhu pursues a broad range of research interests that lie in the mesoscopic particle migration and complex fluids flow, which have applications in solid-liquid separation, such as cell screening, polymer migration and mineral migration.
